I’m going underground.
From Facebook, that is. Well, not totally, but I’ve decided that I’m tired of spending shit-load of precious minutes and hours of my day on a site where I read a bunch of crap. It’s hard to sift through what’s really important and what isn’t. Some articles and things that people post are interesting, but do I really need to know that your power went out due to snow?? Or something so frivolous?
I’m guilty of these frivolous posts, too. I don’t know why I feel it’s important to share with everybody the things that the kids do/say….or post pictures for people to see. Hell, most of the time, it’s the same 5-10 people that are commenting or “Liking” what you posted. So what’s the point to post if you know those people are always going to “like” it, but no one else will care to contribute or like?
And what’s the purpose of trying to show yourself and your family off, anyhow??
In the great words of my brother-in-law, Kofi–nobody cares.
Plus, I hate that I have abandoned my blog the way I have. So, it’s back to blogging and documenting, and posting pics here. I doubt many people would miss me on FB anyhow.
Plus, I have decided that I am going to start a new blog. This blog was started in 2005, and the template for it is old and cumbersome, particularly when I am uploading pictures. I can only browse for one at a time, and then only upload 5 at a time. Sometimes I have 15 or more pics I would like to upload! It’s easier to do on the lastet blogger template.
So, I think this will be the last post before I move over to the new blog site:
The Appiah Family

See you there!
