It really feels like this summer went by so quickly. That’s because it did. We haven’t even had any summer plans, outside of me going to BlogHer earlier this month. Next week we’re planning a 1-day trip to Ocean City. Other than that, we haven’t done anything. And now it’s school time again on Aug. 27th (not this Monday, next Monday). And it’s time for school shopping!
Stupid me to wait until THE last day of the tax-free savings to go school shopping. But that’s what I did. And I had to drag all 3 kids out with me, first to Columbia Mall, and then to Kohl’s. What a mistake. I don’t know why I expect them to behave. They don’t. It’s running. It’s playing. It’s just being a bother. But that’s what boys do, especially after being out all day. Next time I must plan better, so I’m not nasty with them because they are not doing what I expect them to do.
Anyhow, I dropped a pretty penny on NB sneakers for both boys (matching) at $40 each. OUCH.
Kwabena just learned to tie this week, so I wanted to get him something with laces. He can practice tying this week so that he can tie his shoes properly before heading to school.
I got a number of things for the boys at Kohl’s–all three of them. Kojo needs clothes, too. I have no idea where all the previous kids’ stuff went, but he’s struggling for items to wear, so I bought some fall/winter stuff for him, too.
I’m tapped out. Financially, and emotionally after deal with them all day!
Now it’s on to migrating some pics from my computer, onto my external hard drive. Ahhh….boring work to relieve a stressed mind!
