Playing with his cars in the sand. I literally had to carry him away from the sand because he would NOT come when I called him; he loved the sand too much! This weekend was wonderful. Well, every weekend is wonderful, but this one was extra special because we had a family day on Saturday! Kwasi works 7 days a week…..Yes, 7 days a week. So for him to take off on Saturday to spend the day with Kwabena and me was so great!
We drove to Solomon’s Island, about 1.5 hrs away. I had heard it was a small fishing town (um, we’re vegetarians), so going there for the food wasn’t on our agenda. But the beautiful water, sunshine, and just being TOGETHER made it so memorable.
We need more family days…more adventures of discovering quaint little towns and activities together as a family….
Sunday Kwasi went to the Redskin’s game with a friend, and Kwabi and I went to my company’s picnic. It was such a nice picnic! There was a zip line there, which I reaaaalllllyyy wanted to try, but couldn’t because of Kwabena (there was no one to watch him for me). They had music, dancing, a moon bounce, etc. Kwabi got most of his enjoyment in playing in the sandbox (which made me long for a house with a backyard so my boy could have a sandbox, but that’s a whole different discussion…..).
Here are some additional pics I took recently 🙂
Kwabena jumping off the sofa. See how impressed Kwasi’s mom looks? LOL

Kwasi wrapped him up like a burrito after his bath….
