“People often underestimate the power of….waiting a situation out. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve noticed there’s a great deal of power in a pause. Sometimes we make problems worse by rushing to fix them.” ~Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat, Pray, Love.
I saw this quote today in the Oprah magazine. It really spoke to me. So often we want to rush to fix things, things that if we had just waited, they resolved themselves. Reminds me of how freaked I was becoming about selling our home. I was starting to feel desperate, ready to do anything to just be able to sell, to move. But now I am pausing. I am taking a moment to just let it BE. Whatever is meant to be, will be. I am doing what I can to sell– I’ve cleared the house, I’ve listed it. And now we wait for the right buyer. It will happen. I know it will. It’s just a matter of “when.”
