Wow…..OMG, our THIRD SON…..!!!!!

I guess I was right!! If you dream about penis, be prepared to see one on the ultrasound screen. LOL.
Sure enough, we did!
We had to wait a long time for the appointment, but we got in there and it didn’t take too long. I had a nice ultrasound tech named Tiffany, thank God, because the other lady I have had was so cold and business like! This girl Tiffany was pleasant, and really shared in the beauty of our baby, leading us along with what she was looking at, and said he had a “beautiful spine.” 🙂
But there it was, the penis!!
I admit I was a little disappointed it wasn’t a girl. Only because I do NOT want to try for #4, and so, knowing that this could very well be my last pregnancy, and never being able to raise a daughter, I guess there was some lamenting about that, not that I would ever be soooo superficial. Because lamenting about not having a daughter isn’t fair to our beautiful baby boy, who deserves to feel and be treated special, because he is the one who is here. And yes, I am thankful for him. I am not a girly-girl, so it’s not super important to have a daughter. I just thought it would be a nice change to have pink and purple, versus blue and stripes. 🙂
But, it is what it is, and the most imporant thing is that the baby is HEALTHY! Come to find out, the abnormal HCG and PAPP-A results from my first trimester screen were in fact NORMAL. They had used the wrong weight for me (used a lower weight) and so that had made the results seem abnormal.
Those low proteins caused me to worry about whether or not I wanted to do the 15 week testing (I did, and it was normal, thankfully). And it also made me worry about things like, preeclampsia, and placenta issues, low birth weight, growth restriction, etc. To think that all of that worry could have been avoided…..
Not that I was SUPER worried, but to think that problems could arise, and that you’d need extra monitoring, isn’t the greatest feeling in the world. But thank God everything is normal! 🙂
So, I will be reigning queen of the Appiah household! Just like Mama Appiah (a.k.a. Nana Ba, Kwasi’s mom). And I will have boys that love their mama unlike no other 🙂
Okay, so now, names……….I think we like Kwame. I’ve always liked that name. We are going to select a Ghanaian name, of course. But I think Kwasi is okay with just choosing a name, and not necessarily going along with the tradition of naming for the day he’s born. So let’s just see, but yes, this name is in the running!
Middle name?? I have no idea!!
