Kwabena’s Birthday Present

June 26, 2009 By Serena Leave a Comment

So I did it! I made a spontaneous purchase yesterday…….

Kwabena’s new birthday present!

Okay, there are a couple reasons why this probably wasn’t the best purchase:

1. It was completely impulsive. I had intended to get him a little $40 scooter. But isn’t this much cooler?? LOL

2. We live in a 2 bedroom condo….so where the hell are we going to store this?? We do have a large balcony where it will most likely be housed (after we get rid of the other big toys out that for which we have no storage….). Today Kwabena said that he could put it in his room. Considering he’s got a loft bed, he totally could store it underneath the bed if necessary!

3. We’re on the 3rd floor. Who’s going to carry it up and down the stairs? Hmmmm……

4. I probably could have found a better use for the money I spent on it. However, considering that people spent hundreds of dollars on a birthday party for their kids, why not put the money into something that will at least last for a while? Besides, once Little Baby Appiah is of age, he/she will be able to use it. So we’ll get years of use out of it.

So…..yeah, there are some valid reasons not to have bought this present for him (which will soon be delivered). But, who cares? My son deserves it, because I didn’t have the opportunity to own a motorized car like this when I was a kid…..plus, Kwabena LOVES Mustangs (and Corvettes, too). Spoil him a little, jeez! 🙂
