Kwabi continues to shock me with his language development. I mean, I know that language is something that we all come to master eventually, but when you see this beautiful thing come from your loins and develop into their own little self….and to now be able to have a conversation with that child…truly amazing and magical.
Just the things that Kwabi says, I usually make a mad dash around the house looking for paper and pen in order to write down his cute/funny saying before it drifts from my mind like every other thought I usually have (lol).
Lately he’s been commenting a lot about FARTS! (okay, he must be getting it from somewhere….um…probably me?? LOL)
The other night I asked him to put his shoes in the closet, and as he walked to the closet, he farted, HAHAH. He proclaimed, “Mommy, I farted! You want it???” OMG! I had to respond, “No, Kwabena, you can have it; I have enough farts of my own!”
And last night he told me about a boy named David that used to be at his daycare but left to start Kindergarden last month. Kwabi said to me last night, “David eats beans and farts!” Where he got THAT one, I have no idea….
I’m glad that farts provide plenty of entertainment in our household. 🙂
On a different note, I suggested to Kwabi last night that we should read some Berenstein Bears books for night-night, and he exclaimed enthusiatically, “That’s a good idea!!” He’s never said that phrase before, so it was so cute to hear. I wonder if he knows what an idea even is? LOL But at least he knows how to use the word!
And he told me yesterday as we walked into his room, “Turn the light on in here.” Wow, using 6 words in a sentence. Shocks the hell out of me.
Yeah, it’s pretty shocking when your child can communicate so clearly with you. I feel so blessed to make conversation with this little person, even if it is about farts 🙂
My favorite of all is when Kwabi tells us that he loves us……He says:
“I love you too much.”
🙂 Awwwww…….
