How awesome is it that I have only gained 10-11 pounds by nearly 21 weeks pregnant??! By this point in my pregnancy with Kwabena, I was already up 21 pounds! I have been diligent with watching what I eat. I rarely eat snack-type foods. I have never given up pizza and ice cream (my favorites!!), although I do monitor when and how much ice cream I eat. But all other junk food–GONE! Looks like I might be on my way to a 30 lbs weight gain?? YIPEE!
Some women think that women shouldn’t worry about weight gain so much during pregnancy. But those women also never gained 60 lbs during pregnancy and had to work their asses off to get the weight off! Well, I did. And it was disappointing to not be able to fit into your old clothes….disappointing to go to a store you’re used to shopping in and not be able to fit anything they sell… I now realize that I can have a perfectly normal, healthy, happy baby and still only gain the recommended weight gain, not excessive pounds.
Anyhow, I’m feeling really good! Still feeling sexy, loving my new curves (please, God, can I just keep this boobs???). I’m really looking forward to the new addition to our family in December! 🙂
