20 Weeks!

August 1, 2009 By Serena Leave a Comment

My, my, how my belly is growing…..

Amazing how I am feeling the baby move more and more. I felt him move pretty early (I could swear it was as early as 12 weeks!). But it hasn’t been until the last couple weeks that I have felt him more definitely. Today, in fact, he made me burst out laughing because he kept hitting me in the same exact spot over and over every few seconds! LOL

I’ve been thinking a lot about delivery and what kind of birth I want. I delivered Kwabena naturally, no meds at all (go ME!!). It was the exact kind of birth I had hoped for. But I had a 4th degree tear, which now may make it hard (but not impossible) for me to deliver vaginally again, for risk of additional tearing that might not heal as nicely. UGH….It’s agonizing thinking about having a c-section. I don’t care for surgical intervention, but hell, if this baby is 9 pounds (Kwabena was 8 lbs, 4 oz.) then I may have to make the c-section choice for the sake of my asshole. LOL

The dr. said I will be closely monitored for his size and at the end of the pregnancy we will have a better idea of what to do. SIGH……

Anyhow, I’ve decided to knit Baby Ohene a sweater, hat, and booties!! I went to a knitting store today to pick up additional needles I would need, as well as five skeins of cute Bamboozle yarn (never heard of it before today!), and I am all set to make this:

If you’re interested in these projects, you can find the pattern on HERE.

I’ll be back soon (hopefully!) with pics of my own creations…..Wish me luck!!
