I’m determined to create a successful, working budget, and then stick to it. A friend of mine (Hakimah) and I started a money group, called Sista Cents. We’ve had one meeting a couple weeks ago, and are supposed to meet this Saturday. I love it! A group of women (only 6 of us, although we can’t ever seem to get everyone together at the same time) all talking about money and our financial goals–I love it!!
Today at work I had time (well, not much going on there lately) to put all my numbers into a new template I found, and it looks really good. I’m very excited about it! Now, if only I will follow it….I’ve got maternity leave coming up, and will need as much money to make that work as possible. Looks like my benefits will only be for 6 weeks, and then I’ll have maybe 1 week of leave….so, 7 weeks will be unpaid. YIKES. Better save…….and cut things out so I can get used to restricting myself!
Everything else is good. We are in the midst of finding new tenants for Monet Drive, our rental in Hagerstown. I think we’ve found a nice couple. They are young, but seem to be dependable and clean. My only concern is their amount of income. Hopefully it works out.
The baby is doing well!! His movements are finally getting a bit stronger! I actually felt him or some body part, today while at work! It’s so exciting. I actually thought yesterday, “Hmmm….I would like 4 kids.” Um, someone shoot me! 🙂
Well, 2 more days…..then Kwasi and Kwabena are leaving for Ghana 🙁 I’m going to miss them tremendously. My goal is to get the house together so when they get back, it looks more decorated. I’ve got furniture that needs to be painted and put inside the house. So I am hoping that I can get it all done while they’re gone!
