Burtonsville Day

September 25, 2011 By Serena Leave a Comment

Yesterday was so nice! I took the kids to Burtonsville Day, where they had a cute parade with three local high school marching bands, and some boys and girl scouts throwing candy out. The kids loved the candy part! Then they had a festival with vendors, and an indoor moon bounce. Kwabena had a great time, too, playing with one of his classmates he saw there, named Victoria. They played ice hockey together. And Ohene loved playing with the hula hoop in the gym area. A fun day! And free 🙂 The best kind of activities!

Today we’re going to my company picnic, which I attend every year. It’s just me the kids, and maybe someone that I run into there that I recognize. They have pony rides, clown car rides, veggie burgers, veggie hotdogs, ice cream, popcorn, soft pretzels, arts and crafts, a moon bounce, a zip-line (which Kwabena and I did together last year!), and free BEER and WINE! Damn it if the last 3 times I have gone I haven’t been able to drink accept for one (last year), since I have been pregnant for two of the last three. LOL
Off we go to get dressed so we can go! Too bad Kwasi has to work today…….
