Here’s what Kwabena’s teacher had to write back when I emailed her about more details regarding the “Oops” note. And apparently, he’s had a few really great days from then on! YAY!
Good Afternoon Mrs. Appiah,
Kwabena has made great progress in his behavior since the beginning of the year. He did not start his day well by putting is candy trash (what was in this mouth) onto another child while on the carpet. But the rest of the day he has done a very nice job. I complimented him while we were walking to lunch and he told me he was working very hard. I could tell! What I have seen in the classroom that he can be impulsive at times (putting his hands on the other children – like playing tag when they have been told to keep their hands/feet to themselves, talking when it is not time to be talking, repeating a behavior after he has been asked to stopped-verbally/nonverbally and personal space-before/after him-walking into other students while in line not paying attention to the person in front of him). I keep reinforcing the positive behaviors and as I said he has made great improvements and we will continue to work on them at school. I thank you for your additional support at home! It is greatly appreciated! I hope this information has been helpful and please let me know if I can provide any additional information.
Have a wonderful afternoon,
Joanna Garner
