Thank God for the weekend! Lately, Kwabena and I have been so booked on the weekends; we always had somewhere to go, something to do, and had little time to just be bums around the house. So that’s what we’re doing today 🙂
Plus, going out means spending MONEY for us; money that I really don’t have since buying this new lovely Mac (did I mention I have to sell my soul to pay for it…?)
Lack of money = getting creative with fun activities.
This morning Kwabena made the biggest mess fingerpainting, but it was great seeing him mix paint after paint, slopping his hands over the soggy paper, and then wiping them on his shirt. He kept asking for more yellow…green…red…and blue…until I didn’t think paper could handle the weight of the paint.
This morning we worked on our potty training skills. Kwabena has proved more ready for potty training, as he’s interested in sitting on the potty and reading books for 20-25 minutes at a time. Well, 5 books later, still no pee.
He still hasn’t put two-and-two together yet to actually go sit on the potty to pee, but considering that he’s interested in sitting on the potty means that he’s making progress. I am not pushing him, by any means.
This morning I left him diaperless, and he peed on the sofa… on the barstool… on the carpet several times… but not in the potty yet! LOL That’s fine…. We’re taking our time.
Anyhow, we’re enjoying our Saturday at home!
