The time is here: vacation in Jamaica!
Kwabena will be headed to my mom’s house for 5 days. I’ve tried to tell him numerous times that he is going to Nanny’s house for a slumber party, where he’ll get to eat M&Ms (which he loves), cookies, broccoli, and pizza. LOL He seems okay with it; not excited, not upset. I told him this evening that when Mommy and Daddy drop him off he shouldn’t cry. We’ll see how it goes. 🙂 I’m sure his cries will be short-lived (or at least, I hope!)
Can you believe that I have come down with a sore throat??!! Kwabena and I have been battling colds, and I *thought* we would better by the time vacation rolled around. He’s doing well, but for me, I feel like I have contracted another cold, because this sore throat feels like the beginning of a 24-hour cold. UGH…..I’ll be sure to pack Tylenol so that I can party without feeling like crap. Luckily, I have a high tolerance for pain and uncomfortableness, so it should be all good!
On to other news….Kwabi got a new pair of PJ’s! I had bought him a pair of polyester Thomas PJ’s (only because he picked it out and wanted it), but I just couldn’t bear to keep him in something that I knew was coated in fire retardants. I returned them and found these, which are not fire resistant. I had to go over to the BOYS section and out of the INFANT section! LOL The infant section went up to 4T, which he needed a 5T and I couldn’t find in that section. When I went to the BOYS section, I was delighted to find more varieties (like Spiderman), and larger sizes. These are a size 6!!
Anyhow, I am off work tomorrow, and I have a whole list of things to get done before we leave. I’m very excited!! Even with my sore throat won’t stop me from having a ball!
