Kwabi-isms

July 27, 2009 By Serena Leave a Comment

It’s been a while since I’ve posted “Kwabi’isms.” I usually end up emailing them to myself so that I don’t forget to post them here! 🙂

  • This weekend I was doing laundry, and the laundry room door was open. Kwabena was closeby, in the living room, and could hear the rapid swish-swish-swish of the washing machine. Suddenly, he shouts out to me, very excited, “Mommy! I hear the baby’s heartbeat!” Awww…..! He must have remembered how it sounds from the last time he went with us to have an ultrasound, and it sounded similar! Too cute!
  • Kwabena told me a few days ago: “There’s a robot in your hair. If it eats all your hair, you’ll be bald like Daddy and Uncle Genfi.”
  • I wish I could own a single family home. There’s one that we drive by each day that’s listed For Sale and I comment to Kwabena about how much I like the house and I wish we could buy it. He said to me recently, “Mommy, maybe you should wait until you’re older.” HA! I had to totally agree with him on that one! Maybe one day when I’m older…….*sigh*
  • One day we were at my computer listening to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” which we call one of his “baby songs.” Kwabena said to me after the song started for a second time, “I don’t want to hear that anymore. That’s getting older.” LOL! I believe he meant, “That’s getting OLD,” but regardless, it was hilarious that a 3-year-old even comments on something getting “older.” 🙂
  • “This song is getting in my head. I don’t want to hear this song.”
  • “I want to smell your armpit. It’s stinky. I like to do that.” (note: read with a whiney voice to get the full effect, lol).
