Kwasi, Kwabena, and me were in the car driving, and Kwasi and I were discussing something. Kwabena kept trying to interrupt, to tell us about something of interest he saw passing by. We continued talking about whatever topic we were discussing, and the next we hear from Kwabena is, “Listen to me!!” Talk about needing to be the center of attention. LOL

Kwabena was NOT listening to me this afternoon when I asked him several times to pick up his crayons and markers before nap. He was moreso playing around with it, instead of putting it away the way he was supposed to be. So I threatened him: “If I had to ask you one…more…time, then you will not get a story before nap time.” Of course, he took me seriously. But after he was finished cleaning them up, he told me, “You’re not being a very nice girl.” HA!

Somehow Kwabena has worked “I don’t care” into his vocabulary… Since when does a 2 year old care about not caring? 🙂

Kwabena’s favorite book right now is the Berenstain Bears book, “Double Dare.” In the beginning of this book, Sister Bear has her jump rope taken by Two Tall and his gang. So Brother Bear, albeit smaller than Two Tall, goes to the park to demand it back. When he demands it back, Two Tall challenges him, “Or what??” And Brother Bear responds, “Or else I am going to cut you down to size!” and starts swinging. So guess who was lying in his bed at naptime, playing with his toys (when he was SUPPOSED to be trying to fall asleep), pretending that his toys are talking to each other? And guess who parroted, “Or what? Or I’m gonna cut you down to size!” OMG! Too funny!!!
