Tonight at bedtime Kwabena told me:
KWABENA: “I want to be a movie star when I grow up”
ME: “Do you even know what a movie star is?”
K: “No”…
[I then tell him, and ask why he wants to be one].
K: “Because they make lots of money”
ME: “Why do you want lots of money?”
K: “So I could buy things at the mall, go fun places….”
ME: “Well, you don’t need lots of money to do fun stuff. Me and Daddy don’t have lots of money, but we’re able to go places, and do fun stuff. And there are some people with lots of money who still aren’t very happy. Happiness comes from having good health, friends, and family that love you. But having lots of money on top of that is nice, too.”
