No Germs, Please!

January 4, 2010 By Serena Leave a Comment

Yesterday my friend, Morning, and her 3 year old daughter, Cheyanne (who’s 3 weeks younger than Kwabena) came to visit from NY. They were in town for a wedding, and she had called me earlier in the week to find out if she could come stay overnight and visit with us (and to see the baby for the first time!) from Sunday to Monday morning. I was excited to have them!

However, Cheyanne must have picked up some cold or other virus or something, because she had started coughing while here in MD. When she told me that Cheyanne had developed a cough, I guess I should have asked her to not spend the night. But I figured the kids would be okay, if I kept the baby away.

The cough got worse over the day/night. I even went to buy Lysol, and I soooo don’t do the air sprays. But that couldn’t be worse than the virus in the air!

So we’ll see if we’ve beat the virus……

It was so crowded here, too! I’ve decided that we NEED a larger space. It’s just not ideal for us anymore. Even my car– the hassle I had to go through just to pick up Morning and Cheyanne. Because I have 2 car seats in my back seat already (big kid seat, as well as an infant seat), there was no way to put a third car seat for Cheyanne. Therefore, I had to leave Kwabena with Kofi…..go pick up Morning and Cheyanne…..drop them off here at the house…. and then go pick Kwabena up. Talk about needing a larger vehicle! Just getting strollers in and out of the trunk is a hassle. I was thankful I was able to make enough space to hold Morning’s suitcase!

Anyhow, we didn’t get into anything else over the weekend. Saturday was FREEZING cold. Kwabena, Ohene, and I tried to go to the library, but it was closed, so we just went to Target to pick up a few things we needed. YIKES! The wind was bitter-cold. I had wanted to just go straight home afterwards, but Kwabena insisted we go to Nana Ba’s house and play ball with Uncle Kofi, so off we went…. LOL. Amazing how much he loves his uncle…..Anyhow….

Fingers must have tasted GOOD….

Too cute!!!! My, my…what a pretty little guy…

Kwabena loves holding his baby brother! He’s so gentle with him–gives him tons of kisses, tastes sweetly with him, and frequently asks me to lay Ohene on his chest (then comments on how heavy his is!). Too bad I caught him in the middle of a blink. This is such a touching picture, minus Kwabena looking like he’s drunk. LOL:
