Now I Know What “Exhausted” Means…..

December 19, 2009 By Serena Leave a Comment

I’ll admit it……I am suffering from exhaustion. Some of this is my fault, like the fact that it’s 12:30 a.m. and both boys have been sleeping for the past…oh…..2 hours?? Maybe 3 hours? And what have I been doing? Well, of latest, checking email and blogging. But prior to that, watching the season finale of Showtime’s Dexter with Kwasi.

I should have been sleeping………And yes, I am headed there now…Just in time for Ohene to wake and want to nurse. LOL….But I can deal with that, as long as Kwabena stays in his own bed for the whole time, not waking to yell out to me or Kwasi.

Anyhow, I know I am exhausted because when I wake, and Kwabena is talking to me while lying in bed at 4:30 a.m. (ugh…), I actually start to zone out and sort of start dreaming/hallucinating. It’s crazy. It even happened today while reading to Kwabena, as well as during his evening book. I will be in the middle of something, and just start to fall asleep, to where I start talking out-loud about something I had just “dreamed” during that in-between hallucinogenic phase. And then I “come to” and realize–OH SHIT–I just fell asleep in the middle of something!
