Papi — that’s what we call Ohene’s pacifier. When Kwabena was a baby (well, toddler), and couldn’t say “paci” but would say “papi”, I thought it was extremely cute. So when Ohene came along, it just became “papi.”
My favorite time with him is the times when I am getting him ready for bed, and he’s lying there and I’m tickling him and he’s giggling. And I’ll steal his papi and say, “Gimme that papi. That’s MY papi.” He gets a total kick out of it!
So tonight when we were playing the “my-papi” game, he actually said, “Mah pepe!”
How freaking adorable! I love that kid 🙂
