Today Kwabena started his first session of soccer! OMG, how cute it was seeing all those 3 – 5 year olds! At first I was like, “Wow, this is a small group of kids” size-wise. Kwabena was the tallest out there. Not the most athletic, agile, but definitely the biggest! It was amazing seeing him out there. I was worried he would be all over the place, not paying attention. But can you believe that he was so involved, and paid the most attention when the coach was doing “Simon Says” with them? I was shocked! Just last week we were playing “Simon Says” and after a little he was really able to “get” the whole game and really listen to when he was and was not supposed to do something. So seeing him out there on the field, following the “Simon Says” directions, while all the other little kids weren’t listening, was very cool.
At the end of the day, he was so happy about how his team “winned” soccer today. 🙂
