Standing!

September 10, 2010 By Serena Leave a Comment

I have been so shitty about documenting things for little Henny-Poo the way I did for Kwabena. Shame on me 🙁 My little boo-boo bear actually is able to stand on his own now! This past weekend (I think Saturday, September 4), I tested Ohene to see if he could stand on his own, and he did a good 3-4 seconds! I was shocked and happy, and Kwasi was like, “Oh, whatever, calm down, I saw him do that already.” Well, excuse me! This was the first time *I* saw him!! He’s also able to clap, and he’s been waving as of the last week! It’s super cute!

Kwasi told me today that Ohene is very smart; that at Miss Marilyn’s today when he was picking the kids up, Ohene started waving at Miss Marilyn! LOL. I really can’t believe that in 3 months he will be a year old! Where has the time gone?? Didn’t I just deliver this kid? And he’s clapping and waving his hands, and I swear he says “Mama” when he wants me and when he’s climbing over to get me!

It’s amazing seeing him and Kwabena playing together. I sometimes leave them together in Kwabena’s room, and little Ohene is sitting there holding Kwabena’s Hot Wheels cars, or playing in some little box of toys, while Kwabena is sitting there playing. Too cute! I can’t leave him too long because he’s discovered how to climb up Kwabena’s bed latter! And of course he can’t do it steadily, so I have to watch him.

Sometimes Kwabena does things like hits Ohene, or puts things in his face– not meanly, but playing roughly, and we sometimes have to get on him to NOT do those things! Just this weekend I had to hit Kwabena after he hit Ohene (tapped him on the back), and had to make him realize that it doesn’t feel good to get hit that way. I always make sure he apologizes to Ohene, so that he realizes you can’t be rough with his brother.

Anyhow, I love having two boys 🙂 Really great. I wonder if we’ll ever have baby #3? Who knows. But I just know that I’m looking forward to that daycare money we’ll save once Kwabena is in school!

🙂
