Teeth!

Today when I was feeding Ohene a bottle and rocking him in Kwabena’s glider, I noticed that my little Boo-Boo Bear was getting 2 more teeth! He’s had the bottom two for a couple months now, I believe, and now the lower right tooth is popping in next to his two teeth, as well as the other one on the left, you can sort of see where that is coming in! Amazing! I can’t believe he’s growing so quickly!

This weekend was pretty good. Today was my company’s picnic, which we go to each year. Free beer, free veggie hotdogs and burgers, free drinks, free snacks, free ice cream, zip lining, rock climbing….It’s great! We met my friend and coworker, Sherray, there with her brother, mother, and 3-month-old son. It was a good day! Kwabena shocked me when he said he wanted to not only try rock-climbing (he tried it at WRAMC’s Organization Day), but that he wanted to try zip-lining, too! It was funnnn!! He told me afterwards, “Mommy, I wasn’t scared. You have to try new things because you might like them.” HA! My boy is learning 🙂

Friday night we went to the Burtonsville carnival and Kwasi convinced him to get on a big ride (he said he’d buy him a new light sword if he got on the ride with him, and sure enough, he got on!) So cute seeing him scream and have a good time! He wasn’t scared at all! He’s really growing up, huh?

Yesterday I don’t recall what we did…Damn! My memory is shot. But whatever we did, I’m sure we had a good time 🙂 But one thing I remember was that Ohene was seriously standing up on his own a lot! This past week he discovered how to stand on his own (or, rather, I saw him last weekend for the first time when I let go of him and he stood for a few seconds!). But yesterday he kept standing up and letting go on his own, which was amazing! That means he’s close to walking, in maybe another month or so! Where has the time gone?

Anyhow….the picnic today….
