Ahhhh…..the joys of potty training. Well, I can’t even say potty training, because it denotes that we’re still training. Actually, I can say that Kwabena is 99% potty trained during the day. He goes on his own, as well as is receptive to reminders when needed. But, anyhow, he’s potty trained.
YIPEE!
What an exciting time!
But one thing I didn’t count on: a stinky bathroom reeking of pee!
Kwabena used to sit down while peeing, but we began teaching him to stand. Now, he exclusively stands. (OMG, so adorable to see your toddler boy peeing like a real guy. LOL). But the thing I noticed is that that first squirt of pee is the “wild shot.” It usually ends up to the left of the toilet, on the floor, on the wall, or on the shower curtain. Once he’s peeing, he knows how to correct his aim. But that first shot……
OMG, the bathroom REEKS!
Oh well….I guess this is just part of the process, right? I had commented on Facebook how Kwabena is “perfecting his aim,” to which several people pointed out, “Um…you might be waiting a while.” LOL! I guess no guy ever really perfects their aim ;-P
