Trick-or-Treating!

November 3, 2011 By Serena Leave a Comment

We almost missed Trick or Treating this year!! Kwabena had come down with a stomach virus last Friday, and although the diarrhea wasn’t too bad, it did take several days to resolve itself. And he had some chills on Friday night, and was extremely lethargic. Saturday he was better, but still had loose stools. Sunday he woke with loose stools and was lying down on the floor, feeling very tired. He laid down in bed for a while, just watching TV. Thankfully, now, he’s doing much better!

Anyhow, on Halloween, school was out because of parent-teacher conferences (our appointment, however, isn’t until next Thursday, Nov. 10th). Kwasi said he seemed a little out of it later that afternoon when they picked up Ohene and went to Kwasi’s mom’s house. And he ended up falling asleep on the way home. So when I got home, he was still asleep. Thankfully he was okay and woke up to go Trick or Treating.
It was fun! I’m glad we hadn’t missed it! We went in our own neighborhood, and it was cool running into Kwabena’s classmates and our neighbors. It was really cool feeling a part of a community, and to see his classmates.
And OMG, Ohene was cracking me up! He was holding out his bucket and saying “Treat!” and then he would say, “Thank you! Night!” and would wave to the homeowners. SOOOO cute! He was like, “I monkey! I monkey!” Awwww……….so precious!
And he didn’t want me to take pictures of him! Every time I would whip out the camera, he’d be like, “No pictures!” LOL But I was able to sneak a few:

Overall, it was a good night! I think we were probably the last ones out there!! LOL Greedy little people, we are….. LOL
