Today Vanda submitted the contract for us to the listing agent for Durant St. I’m really excited about this house, because I think it’s perfect for our family. The neighborhood looks great… we can take walks in the neighborhood… the schools are good… it’s close to where we already live (read=close to Kwasi’s mom and close to daycare)… Great backyard… spacious throughout… I’m very excited!
So today Vanda has been in contact with this agent a couple times. This agent has a lot of personal things going on, like her husband being in hospice, her son is having lots of terrible headaches, etc. And I don’t think anyone else has submitted a contract, despite several asking for disclosures. I am holding out hope that we are the offer that will get accepted! From what Vanda says, this lady has said that “it would be a pleasure” to work with Vanda again, since they know each other from working together previously.
When Vanda told me that, that the lady said she would love to work with Vanda again, I didn’t want to get my hopes up. I really want this house and think it would be perfect for us. So I would rather wait and hear official word that the contract is going to be ratified. We shall see.
In the meantime I realized something…..HOLY SHIT, we’re moving in a month!! We have a contract on this condo, and that means we’re going to closing November 13th. That means we need to get packing. We packed up a lot of this stuff when we were getting the house ready for the market. But there is a lot of regular stuff that needs to be packed up: wall hanging that need to be removed… dishes that we aren’t using.. etc. So, we better get some boxes and get the packin’!
