So funny how a 2-year-old processes information….. This weekend we made big progress in potty training. You see, before…even though Kwabi knew to use the potty if he was DIAPERLESS, he wasn’t “getting it” when he was wearing underwear or pajama bottoms with no pants. So we went back to diaperless for a while, which he’s been doing great with.
But this weekend I put him in underwear, for the sake of seeing what he would do….and wouldn’t you know that while wearing the underwear, he ran down the hall to go pee…….and as I walked into the bathroom, there sat Kwabi on his potty….STILL wearing his underwear, peeing in the potty!
“I pee-peed on the potty, Mommy!”
I stifled my laugh and praised him, while gently reminding him to pull his undies down FIRST before he sits to pee…..
HILARIOUS!!!
At least now he’s recognizing that underwear are not like diapers and he can’t pee in them. Now I just have to teach him the most imporant step–pulling them down first! LOL 🙂
He’s getting there, though!!

GRace had a lot of accidents in her training pants before she figured out what happened. She’d be running towards me going “pee pee pee pee” AS she was peeing…. lol
LOL!! That is hilarious! We will have such great stories to tell our children when they grow up!
