Good news!!! All my lab work came back okay today!!! This is from the QUAD screening that I did last week, to further investigate the low proteins that has come about from my first trimester screen. At first, I wasn’t even going to get the additional screenings done because even if they came back abnormal, there was no invasive testing that I was going to get, so I thought it might be pointless. However, I’m glad I did do it, because it did ease my mind that it could just be nothing. The genetic counselor said that this is fantastic news from a genetic standpoint, but that they still keep monitoring me via additional ultrasounds, just to make sure the baby is growing normally and that the placenta is okay. I guess there is still some small risk of something going wrong there, but honestly, so slim. The counselor said that most people don’t have any complications whatsoever, that it could just be low protein levels.
Anyhow, great news that everything is normal genetic-wise!! 🙂

Now……we just have to get through 21 more days until we find out for sure: BOY or GIRL!!!!
I’m leaning towards GIRL, and love the idea of buying cute things to dress up a baby girl!
