Still in Early Labor

December 14, 2009 By Serena Leave a Comment

So I “survived” the night, thankfully! I really didn’t want to have to disturb the evening to go to the hospital. I made it to the morning! It’s now 7:26 a.m. and I’ve still been having sort of regular contractions throughout the night. They were waking me up very early this a.m. I wonder how much further I’ve dilated?

Anyhow, Kwabena woke up shortly ago, and the first question he asked when he crawled into bed was, “Am I going to Miss Marilyn’s today?” I told him that he was. He groaned, “Ohhhhhh!” He had asked me yesterday if he was going to have to go to Miss Marilyn’s and I told him I wasn’t sure if I was going to work or not, depending on what happens today. I haven’t really said anything to him about the baby coming today or tonight. Don’t want him to have any behavioral problems at Miss Marilyn’s, wondering about whether Mommy was okay, etc. He had a rough week last week, feeling the stress of the impending change to our family. He’s been wanting to stay home with me and the baby.

We sooo didn’t plan very well, though. Kwasi’s mom is going to pick Kwabena up from Miss Marilyn’s if necessary this early evening after she gets off work. But can you believe we never installed the spare car seat into her car? So now we have to drop Kwabena off at daycare and then drive to her job and install the car seat just in case we’re not around to pick him up this afternoon.

The plan will be to install the car seat, and then come home and walk, to hopefully keep things progressing.

YAY! Today or tomorrow is DEFINITELY the day! And just like Kwabena, coming within a day or so of his due date. 🙂

More updates later!
